Year 7 Cumbria Trip is a "Life-Changing Experience"
Every year the school runs a trip to Castlehead Outdoor Centre in Cumbria for Year 7 students. It is a fabulous opportunity for students to enjoy a range of outdoor activities and to develop independence and resilience. The trip is led (always enthusiastically!) by the wonderful Mrs Ramadan.
Here is what some of our students had to say about their adventures.
Mairam says...
"Cumbria was a wonderful place where you get to do so many activities that you never knew they even existed! There were so many people I did not even know but, bit by bit, we bonded to the extent that in school now, whenever we see each other, we have long conversations. I even bonded with some of the teachers! I mostly enjoyed canoeing and I loved when we were racing against each other and got wet. It is an experience I will never forget."
Manelle says...
"Cumbria was a life changing experience. We learned so much from it all. We met new people and we got to know them all much better. It helped to spend time away from home and surprisingly it was not hard. My favourite activity was gill scrambling. We got muddy and very cold but it was so exciting and fun."
