The Scholars Programme

The Scholars Programme is a scheme run by The Brilliant Club that provides students with an experience of what it is like to study at university.

Students in Year 9 and 10 who have demonstrated academic excellence are given the opportunity to be taught by a PhD tutor over a six-week period. This consists of weekly university-style seminars, academic writing support and research analysis practice, culminating with students writing a degree-style essay. This is  graded using the university-style grading system and students attend a graduation event at one of the top London Universities to celebrate their success.

Scholars Imperial College Visit

This programme gives students a valuable insight into what it is like to study at university and provides them with the key skills needed to be successful within higher education.

Students who took part in the programme this year all achieved either a 2:1 or a 1st in their essay, an outstanding achievement for the students involved.
