Empowering Students to Make Positive Life Choices
This week, we were pleased to welcome Paul Hannaford to the academy, where he delivered impactful assemblies to all year groups. Paul shared his personal experiences to educate students on the dangers of addiction, drugs, alcohol, and the consequences of gang involvement and knife crime.
His powerful and engaging message resonated with students, providing real-life insights into the risks and challenges they may face. These assemblies are an integral part of our PSHE curriculum, aimed at equipping our students with the knowledge and understanding to make informed, positive life choices.
Here’s what some of our students had to say about the experience:
- "The assembly was excellent and really showed the dangers and consequences of drugs and crime."
- "The assembly was so powerful because it was delivered by someone who had personal experience and is from the local community."
- "It was such a good assembly; it really made us think about the dangers."
- "It was so interesting and helped me better understand the dangers."
- “His talk was so interesting and real. It really made me think about the true effects of drugs”
We are proud to offer such meaningful opportunities to educate our students, encouraging them to reflect and make positive decisions for their future. Thank you, Paul, for providing our students with this excellent educational experience.
