GCSE Results 2019-20 'Super' Grade 9s
Students and staff at Harris Academy Rainham are celebrating 93 ‘super’ Grade 9s, each equivalent to an A**. Almost 40% of art students achieved a Grade 9 and there were 27 Grade 9s across Chemistry, Physics and Biology. In total there were 200 awarded to our pupils.
Across the academy, 66% of students achieved 5 GCSEs including English and Maths. 81% achieved a GCSE grade 4 or better in English while 75% did so in Maths. 36% of students achieved the demanding EBacc, up from 28% last summer and considerably higher than the most recent national average which was 24%.
Zainab delighted with her results today, Grade 7 and 8s across the board. Well done!
Special mention must be made of the following students who excelled, with large numbers of Grade 9s:

“The bar is very high for the new ‘super’ Grade 9 but we have achieved a large number, demonstrating the talent among our students.
“May I thank and congratulate the whole of Year 11 and the teachers who taught them so well. It has been a fantastic year for results.”
