Media Students Visit TV Set and Learn About Film Making
Media students from Harris Academy Rainham visited the set for a TV programme recently, getting a great insight into what it's like to work on set, the different roles and how to get into film and TV.
The set was for a new BBC adaptation of A Christmas Carol being filmed at Rainham Hall by a production company run by actor and producer Tom Hardy. The students were granted access on set in Rainham Hall and saw Scrooge’s living room, alongside all the equipment used for the TV/ film making process.
Despite being Spring there was plenty of TV 'snow' around, as you can see!
Sue Rosso was very helpful and delivered great talks with the students and introduced the children to the locations team. Unfortunately there was no Tom Hardy present on the day! The new production of A Christmas Carol is due to be aired this Christmas.
Sue Rosso is going to keep in touch with the school with regards to more opportunities, including possibly work experience.
Rainham Hall looking very pretty in the 'snow'.
Can you see our students walking through the 'snow'? They found out about the different roles on set and what it takes to get into the film and TV industry.
