HAR Sixth Form Programme Launched

This year we have launched the Inspiring Sixth Form Programme at Harris Academy Rainham. The programme aims to provide experiences which enable Year 11 students to apply for the top sixth forms in the area.

Mr Stananought delivered a seminar which provided students with a wide understanding surrounding Plato’s philosophy: that right is right and wrong is wrong.

Students were able to discus and debate the idea of the realm of forms. The realm of the forms is a place we visit as a soul before physical birth where we are shown the ideal form of everything in our universe. The seminar introduced students to an alternative outlook on the universe surrounding them.

Fifty three students from Year 11 attended this seminar after school hours, showing the dedication and interest among our GCSE year group.
