New On-line Maths System
New online maths system for all pupils - www.hegartymaths.com
Dear All,
This is information for all parents to introduce the new online system Maths is using called Hegarty Maths. The system has been very successful so far, in one week HAR students have already answered over 10 thousand questions online.
HegartyMaths allows pupils to practise every skill in Maths and has videos on all topics. Nationally every student who 'completed' the system last year by year 11 achieved a 9 bar one pupil who got an 8.
Teachers set work on the system and pupils can complete additional work as well.
The system can be logged into at www.hegartymaths.com and the pupils only need their:
first name
last name
date of birth
To log in.
Click "Existing users" at the top of that page, and then student log in.
Your child will be able to see a "donut" graphic showing the completion of key skills.
The website has videos for every topic along with scaffolded questions to assess and deepen understanding
