Here at Harris Academy Rainham, we are celebrating after receiving some very impressive GCSE results.

Results at Harris Academy Rainham,  which joined the Harris Federation last year,  have shown a significant improvement including an increase in its EBacc score (A*-C or 4 and above in the core academic subjects), which has jumped from 23% in 2016 to 37% this year. This is now well above the national average, which was 23% in 2016.

 

71% of students at Harris Academy Rainham achieved grade 4 and above in maths and English in the new numerical grading system (equivalent to A*-C). Every subject area made significant increases in the number of students achieving A*/A and A*-C, with over a quarter of all exams taken at Harris Academy Rainham marked at an A/A* or 7-9 grade.

 

9% of students at the academy achieved nine or more A*- A or grade 7 and above.

 

Some notable individual successes included:

Kemi Ahmed who achieved 11 GCSEs all at A*/A grade or equivalent. She also achieved the new ‘super grade’ of 9 in English Language, English Literature and Mathematics, putting her in an extremely small minority of students that achieve such a performance level nationally.

 

Alex Hithersay, Francesca Fairey, Tayeb Hamadi, Harry Spear, Claire Hennessy, Sam Dennis and,

Ryan Ahmed all achieved 10 or more GCSE grades at A*/A grades or equivalent.
