HAR Wins Award For Professional Learning
We are very proud that our application to be accredited for transforming practice in professional learning has been successful.
This means that the school has met the highest standards of the Framework for Exceptional Education set by SSAT, the Schools, Students and Teachers network, and that our work in this area is amongst the most effective nationally.
"At Harris Academy Rainham, all staff are committed to their own professional learning and growth, because we are committed to delivering high quality education for all of our students," said Principal Gareth Stananought.
In awarding this accreditation to Harris Academy Rainham, the moderator said that the academy’s dynamic approach to professional learning "has enabled it to become a community promoting the personal growth of all its members."
The moderator noted that "there is a clear understanding of the relationship between professional development and the continuous improvement of the quality of teaching and learning for students," and that professional learning for all members of staff is a central aspect of the culture of the academy.
"We are very proud to have this extra accreditation and as a school have thoroughly enjoyed this accreditation process," added Mr Stananought.
