Mr Coggins Runs Half Marathon Dressed as Grinch
PE Teacher Mr Coggins raised over £1,350 for Great Ormond Street Hospital when he ran a half marathon on Saturday 18th December.
Mr Coggins says: "I spent the first two months of my life in Great Ormond Street Hospital due to being severely premature, weighing 1.3kg (2.86lbs) and having respiratory complications. I wanted to give back to the people who helped save me!"
Mr Coggins ran the equivalent of a Half Marathon, dressed as the infamous Grinch. He made his way through the City, with the route ending at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
"I just wasted to say a huge thank you for your love and support over the last few weeks. It was a really overwhelming experience," he says.
Amazing work, Mr Coggins. We're all very proud of you! You can watch a video of his run on Instagram.
Do you want to join me in making a difference this Christmas? I'm raising money in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and every donation will help.
*I will be running on the 18th Dec*
I really feel like now is the right time to give back seeing as I owe so much to the staff and charity that looked after myself and my family during my first few months.
I also hope to raise some funds for the children that will be spending Christmas in hospital so if you have any toys, books ect, it will be hugely appreciated and might make a little person smile.
