Year 9 - The National Enterprise Challenge
All of Year 9 had a drop down and completed an Enterprise Day recently, where teams of six worked together to create their own business idea to tackle an issue they have identified.
All Enterprise groups had to create a logo, advert, press release, social media campaign and then present to a panel of judges in front of the whole year group.
There were all sorts of ideas including free wi-fi companies, culture education clubs, sports in community and many more.
The winning group was from 9A and 9B called 'Young Lives Company'. Their company is aimed to help young people understand, discuss and help around the subject of youth gangs. The idea is to both educate and give young people a place to discuss and potentially even find a way out of a gang.
They chose a lotus flower as their main logo as it represents resilience and will still grow and blossom in difficult surroundings.
